Heat-Up Curve

Planned temperature ramp to avoid binder degradation.

Hopper Drain Valve

Valve located at the base of the debris hopper used to release standing water after wet sweeping. Prevents corrosion and odour build-up during storage.

Heated Binder Tank

Insulated tank with burner/heater to keep bitumen at spraying temperature.

Hopper Inspection Door

Small hinged door giving access to inspect collected material inside the hopper. Used to check fill level and debris type without tipping the load.

Heated Mirror Kit

Electric heating elements applied to external mirrors to prevent fogging and frost. Improves visibility during winter night operations.

Heated Spray Bar

Bitumen sprayer bar fitted with electric or fluid heat tracing. Ensures all nozzles deliver binder at a constant temperature for uniform coverage.

Hopper Overload Alarm

Sensor-based alarm that sounds when the hopper reaches its maximum safe load. Prevents overfilling which can reduce suction efficiency or damage hydraulic rams.

Heated Wash-Down System

Water-heating element integrated into the wash-down circuit. Enables effective cleaning of oily residues during winter maintenance.

Hopper Safety Prop

Lockable prop rod that secures the raised hopper during maintenance. A mandatory UK safety requirement under PUWER regulations.
