Urea Tank Heater
A urea tank heater is used to prevent AdBlue (urea solution) from freezing in vehicles fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems. It supports reliable dosing by maintaining fluid temperature above its freezing point in cold conditions.
Systems may use electrical heating elements or coolant-based heat exchange depending on vehicle design. Frozen urea can restrict dosing and trigger faults that affect operation.
This component is most relevant for road sweepers operating year-round and is typically managed as part of cold-weather vehicle systems planning.
