Universal-Joint Coupling

A universal joint coupling transmits rotational power between two shafts operating at different angles. It allows torque transfer even where alignment changes during movement or articulation.

Universal joints accommodate misalignment while reducing driveline stress. Wear often shows as vibration, noise, or uneven movement under load.

They may be associated with driveline or auxiliary systems that support an auxiliary hydraulic pump, and they are frequently inspected when routine maintenance access is available.
