An ultra-high-pressure lance is a handheld or mounted lance designed to deliver water at very high pressure, up to 250 bar, for intensive cleaning tasks. It is used where stubborn deposits cannot be removed effectively with standard wash-down pressure such as cleaning thermoplastic lines or oil spills on carriageways.

Because operating pressures are high, correct training, PPE, and controlled handling are essential to reduce risk of injury or surface damage.

This equipment is commonly associated with reactive cleaning and depot support, including jet washer hire, and may be used alongside an under-body steam jet depending on contamination and access.
