Pump Drive Coupling

A pump drive coupling is a mechanical connection used to transfer rotational power from a drive source to a hydraulic or fluid pump. It forms a critical link between the power source and the driven component.

Couplings are designed to accommodate minor misalignment and reduce vibration while maintaining effective torque transfer. Wear or damage can lead to noise, inconsistent pump performance, or premature failure if not addressed.

Drive couplings are routinely checked during servicing, particularly on vehicles where auxiliary systems rely on stable pump output for sweeping or spraying operations, including vehicles fitted with an auxiliary hydraulic pump.
