Drive-Axle Load Sensor
A drive-axle load sensor is an electronic sensor that measures the load applied to a vehicle’s drive axle. The signal is used by onboard control systems to optimise traction, braking balance, and stability as conditions change.
Load variation can be caused by payload changes, suspension movement, and uneven road surfaces. Accurate sensing supports vehicle stability systems on low-grip or uneven ground.
This is particularly relevant for road sweepers with operator where hopper weight changes during a shift, and it is common on vehicles working highways and road maintenance services routes.
