Mechanical sweeping
Mechanical sweeping uses heavy-duty machinery with rotating brushes, powered vacuums, or a combination of both to clean surfaces and collect debris such as dirt, dust, and other waste. Main brooms and side brushes lift heavier material, with conveyors or suction nozzles directing it into the hopper for efficient removal.
It’s often preferred for construction sites, highways, and depots where aggregate, spoil, or leaf fall accumulates. Mechanical systems excel with heavier debris, while vacuum and regenerative-air sweepers typically capture fine particulates more effectively, so mixed fleets are common.
